Bioproduction Account Manager, Pharma Analytics
General:
Responsibility for development execution of Pharma Analytics Business (instruments and consumables) in the region covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Develop business plan, mid and long-term objectives, sales strategy, pricing strategy and customer satisfaction goals and operate at a senior level in the customer organisation.
Description:
- Based on profound knowledge of Pharma/BioPharma Development, Manufacturing and QC, develop and execute business objectives to continue and expand the adoption of Rapid Molecular Methods in Development, Production and QC.
- Manage Key Accounts with key influencers based in Germany, some of which may span to other global geographies.
- Together with Sr. Business Manager and QST Marketing Manager, build and execute a plan for market development in the region.
- Competes for all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets.
- Maintain and grow business within existing key accounts.
- Gathers, analyzes and delivers information from the field to allow Life Technologies to develop strategies and new products appropriate to the Food & Environmental and Animal Diagnostic markets.
- Act at high level with key influencers and relevant regulatory departments to drive business using a Top Down approach.
- Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information on a regular basis.
- Ensures that all necessary resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to increase AB business.
- Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing and finance.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- 3-5 years previous experience in Senior Sales position and/or Startegic Account Management, preferably with domain knowledge from BioPharma / Pharma Industry
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or equivalent, preferred
- Well organized individual with ability to establish short and long-term business objectives and have a demonstrable record of measuring performance toward those objectives
- Self motivated individual, capable of working in a Pan-European team.
- Knowledge of Applied Biosystems RT-PCR and DNA Sequencing technology platforms is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Very good command of English language. Speaks native language of key accounts, ideally German
